Each piece is lovingly crafted by an unknown knitter, somehow found it's way to a used clothing store, where I simply cannot leave a hand crafted item. While not made of natural fibres, I choose to keep it out of the landfill and allow it to benefit another family, hopefully sharing the love the original knitter gave it - embodying our commitment to slow fashion. There is a tradition in knitting that a knitters love and previous time enters the sweater or item they knit and is passed onto the wearer. These sweaters have been donated and found their way to the shelves of used goods stores. I love thrifting and It always saddens me to see these hand mades left. I used to leave them, but visit after visit, these items languished. So I started bringing them home, mending, washing and caring for them in the hopes of finding them loving homes to continue on their makers love.
